Urban food gardening and urban farming has become an important part of the global agriculture environment. With increasing urbanisation and realisation of the potential social, environmental and economic benefits of urban agriculture, interesting and inspiring initiatives are evolving in many parts of the world. This open discussion is about sharing experiences and becoming aware of some key questions such as:
1. Dealing with garden or farm individuality in urban settings
2. Measuring food quality with the senses
3. Key biodynamic processes used in urban food growing
4. Integrating Steiner’s concepts of a more ideal society structure into urban gardening and farming.
Contributor to the discussion is Peter Kearney, biodynamic advisor and educator, urban farmer, urban agriculture adviser, founder of My Food Garden and director of Biodynamic Agriculture of Australia.
