Workshop at the Goetheanum
4 Biodynamics as a remedy and salutogenesis for 21st century agriculture
This unique workshop is inspired by the Convivium Phylosoficum of Desiderius Erasmus from 1522, published by Johannes Froben Am Sessel in Basel. Guests are invited to bring thier shadow – a young person from the next generation in biodynamics.
400 Year later Rudolf Steiner held the Agriculture Course that we will celebrate by looking backwards - what has been achieved by the bio-dynamic movement - and looking forward how we can help to shape the future substantially.
"Vintage" Demeter professionals and action-oriented young people like Roos Saat from Extinction Rebellion are adapting biodynamic agriculture to the 21st century. All centered towards salutogenesis - the healing-power of biodynamics at the farm level, mankind and to the living Earth.

My name is Eelco Schaap - born in 1953 in Wageningen: city of the Agricultural University & Research (WUR). Graduated a 3 year bio-dynamic training at Warmonderhof, followed by 2 year development aid with Peace Corps in East Africa – Tanzania. Started in 1978 as Consultant Bio- dynamic & Organic Agriculture with the Ministry of Agriculture in Holland for 35 years. In 2007 I bought a 34 hectares Quinta with olive trees and a large flock of Bordaleira dairy sheep in Portugal´s biggest mountainous Nature Parque - Serra da Estrela – Demeter certified – harvesting 100 T. olives.
