"What are we? Who are we?" With this lecture Ueli Hurter addresses the karmic question in the biodynamic movement. Rudolf Steiner gave lectures on karmic connections at the same time as the Koberwitz course. The lectures on agriculture at the Koberwitz Chateau took place in the morning, and in the evening Rudolf Steiner spoke about karma in Breslau. The same people who listened to him on the subject of agriculture joined him again in the evening to receive his lectures on karma.
Both questions, karma and agriculture, are connected with each other in a special way. In this lecture we also consider the question of how we may see personal karma and that of the biodynamic impulse - perhaps in context of the entire human evolution: It is not just a matter of preserving the earth for its own sake, but because people want to continue to incarnate on the earth, that is, for the sake of those people to come. To feel responsible for the earth means to create new karma, to keep alive the karmic place that is called Earth.
