Opening / From climate change to climate collapse
Indications of climate changes during the history of the earth. From the start of the ice age to 1850 the alternation of warm periods and ice ages was in harmony with the cosmic rhythms between the sun and the earth. In contrast to this, the very rapid rise in temperature over the last 150 years conflicts with the cosmic impulses. Human activity produced by intellectual thinking led to climate collapse, so that cosmic impulses were no longer able to act as in earlier times. By enlivening thinking, we can find a way to the living earth.

Hans Ulrich Schmutz
Hans Ulrich Schmutz, *1945, studied at the ETH Zurich with a doctorate in geology. Seven years of social work with students on ecological topics, followed by 18 years as senior teacher for geography and technology at the Rudolf Steiner School in Wetzikon, Switzerland. From 1980 to 2013 he participated in the Swiss training program for biologically dynamic agriculture. Today active in teacher training at anthroposophic institutions. Book publications and lectures on the subjects: From observing rocks to understanding the earth; conception of geography lessons in classes 1 to 12; energy economy and climate.
