In this panel conversation, we bring together individuals who are exploring new and creative approaches to essential aspects of the farming economy. Through open dialogue, we will hear about diverse initiatives—from small-scale personal impulses to traders, processors, and community-supported local and regional markets.
Economic activity has always formed the foundation of community life. At its center stands the farm organism, radiating outward to processors, traders, and ultimately the consumer. Today’s fragmented and often dysfunctional economic structures challenge us to reconsider how we produce, trade, and relate to one another through economic exchange.
This conversation invites reflection on the role of community in shaping economic life and asks how we might cultivate new forms of collaboration, accountability, and shared value.
